I used to use pastels simply as a means of executing quick, spontaneous sketches. After taking lessons with local artist Graham Oliver  I've discovered a whole new world of colour. Pastels are pure, undiluted pigments in a stick.

Pastels can be applied directly with all parts of the hand and, once protected under glass, never fade.
